Malouf donates to prostate cancer service

Malouf Pharmacies has helped raise funds and awareness to support the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia

The group ran an in-store promotion across its 17 Queensland stores, donating 10 cents from the sale of a selected range of Chemist’s Own products to PCFA.

The donation of $5,000 will be allocated to the Specialist Nursing Service; a contribution that is vital for the essential work that these specialist nurses undertake to support men in their hour of need, says Malouf Pharmacies.

PCFA’s national prostate cancer nurse program focuses on providing nurses, in both metropolitan and regional Australia, who can offer clinical and supportive care to men with prostate cancer.

“This donation from Malouf Pharmacies, with the support of their loyal customers, means the world to the men and their families we support every day,” says Megan Cairney, PCFA Queensland State Manager.

“Having a specialist nurse to help answer questions and abate fears can mean the difference between a man and his family coping with a prostate cancer diagnosis or finding it incredibility difficult and overwhelming.”

Malouf Pharmacies has been a long-standing supporter of the local community and says it is proud to run promotions such as this that give back to it.
