Melbourne thief steals vitamins

Milleara chemist alleged thief

Avondale Heights police are appealing for public assistance to identify a man involved in the alleged theft of a large amount of vitamin capsules from a chemist at Keilor East yesterday.

At a pharmacy on Milleara Road on Tuesday 5 June at 2.40pm, two men entered the store and went to an aisle where they allegedly removed approximately 60 containers of a vitamin supplement from the shelves, police were told.

Investigators have released an image of one of the men they believe can assist them with their enquiries.

One of the men left the store with the capsules while the second man was detained by store employees.

A 27-year-old Kingsville man has been interviewed in relation to the incident and is expected to be charged with committing an indictable offence while on bail and theft.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
