Combo analgesic course launched

Guild Learning and Development is partnering with RB in the development of a CPD-accredited online course titled ‘Paracetamol and ibuprofen combination analgesics’

Pain, whether acute or chronic, is the most common reason people seek medical help from general practitioners and in pharmacies.1

Given the prevalence of pain in Australia, pharmacists play an integral role in assessing a patient’s pain, recommending appropriate management options and referring where appropriate, the Guild says.

This course reviews the evidence supporting the efficacy and tolerability of paracetamol and ibuprofen combination analgesics.

On completion of the course, pharmacists will be able to identify when to recommend a paracetamol and ibuprofen combination analgesics and provide effective counselling for its use.

This activity has been accredited for 0.75 hours of Group 1 CPD (or 0.75 CPD credits), suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan, which can be converted to 0.75 hours of Group 2 CPD (or 1.5 CPD credits) upon successful completion of relevant assessment activities.
