Pharmacy Choice has celebrated the tenth anniversary of its Five Steps Incentive Program

It announced the winners of this year’s program, who will enjoy a luxury holiday to Perth and then Mauritius.

A record-breaking 445 pharmacies took part in this year’s program with prizes awarded for overall performance, best newcomer and most improved – demonstrating that all pharmacies, no matter their size, can be a part of the Incentive Program, Pharmacy Choice says.

The Incentive Program takes a structured scorecard approach and recognises stores for their commitment to the Five Steps – buy better, improve layout, ramp up marketing, train for better results and streamline operations.

National Manager Pharmacy Choice Luke McKinnon said the Incentive Program is about recognising pharmacies of all sizes for their commitment to the Five Steps, which continues to help drive strong sales growth for members.

“The Five Steps Program has delivered a decade of strong results for Australian pharmacies; helping them retain their independence and become the drivers of their own success, and reinforcing the member’s message of being the health destination for their local community,” he says.

“Being able to offer a comprehensive Incentive Program provides sustained motivation and increases member engagement, while rewarding hard working businesses who provide a vital service to the community.”

Pharmacy Now in Ringwood, Victoria was one of the top-ranked winners; an additional ten pharmacies were winners of the Top Tier prize of a luxury holiday in Perth and Mauritius.

“Over the past seven years, we have seen great benefits through the Five Steps Program; the main things being the support from Pharmacy Choice and the clear guidance on how to execute,” Pharmacy Now Ringwood owner Ben Kwong said.

“Our staff are more motivated and we have also seen improved performance – it gives you that edge over the competitors by establishing a consistent standard in the pharmacy.

“Ultimately the prize is a sweetener and nice recognition but our main motivator comes through the results we have seen and we are reaping the benefits,” he said.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, an additional Top Tier Perth and Mauritius trip was awarded to a 10 Year Loyal Program Member, Jackson Court Pharmacy in Victoria. A further 20 High Achiever pharmacies are heading to Perth as a reward for their participation with 19 stores also winning prizes in the auctions that were available for members.
