Around 900 delegates attended the conference this year – about one hundred more than last year, according to the PSA

The event wrapped up this afternoon (Sunday 31 July) after being held over three days at Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.

Attendees included many newcomers and early career pharmacists from across Australia.

Each day was packed with sessions covering a variety of professional and clinical topics, from respiratory health to pharmacist remuneration.

Several awards were also presented over the course of the conference, including Pharmacist of the Year, Early Career Pharmacist of the Year, Pharmacy Student of the Year, and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

“It has been a memorable PSA16 event with so many highlights and engaging discussions over the past three days,” said PSA National President Joe Demarte in closing the conference.

Demarte applauded pharmacists for such a strong turn-out for the event which was higher than previous years.

“We thank everyone for attending and look forward to having an even bigger and more engaging conference in 2017,” he said.

PSA17 is scheduled for July 28-30 in 2017 and will again be held at the Four Points by Sheraton in Darling Harbour in Sydney.
