Medicinal cannabis – an update at APP2017

With the Public Health (Medicinal Cannabis) Bill 2016 passed through State Parliament last year, pharmacies will soon be able to apply for a dispensing license for medicinal cannabis from March

An update on medicinal cannabis will be presented at APP2017 in March by Greg Perry, Director of the Medicinal Cannabis Unit for the Queensland Government.

Greg will discuss the current regulatory issue surrounding medicinal use, the clinical use and pharmacology of medicinal cannabis, emerging medicinal cannabis dispensing in Australia, and the current reforms in Queensland.

“The discussion will be very valuable for pharmacists in Queensland and across Australia,” Greg said.

“Each State and Territory is developing its own response but there is naturally a lot of similarities across the system.”

This timely session will provide pharmacists and delegates with an avenue to understand how Queensland is approaching medicinal cannabis.

Join Greg Perry for this not-to-be-missed update on medicinal cannabis on Sunday 12 March at APP2017. The conference will be held on 9-12 March at Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre. For a full program or to register online visit; http://appconference.com/
