DDS enters new year with a bang

The 2018 winners of the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards have taken out the start of 2019 as well

Discount Drug Stores (DDS) has been named Chemist/Pharmacy of the Month by Roy Morgan in its latest slew of Customer Satisfaction Awards for January 2019, with a 92% rating.

Guardian comes in at second place, followed by Priceline Pharmacy, TerryWhite Chemmart and Amcal.

DDS is continuing its winning streak into the new year, following its triumph in scoring Pharmacy of the Year for 2018.

The brand first topped Roy Morgan’s monthly customer satisfaction ratings in March 2018 and then consecutively from May to October, resulting in a total of seven wins for the year.

Stephen Dunstan, who heads up the team managing the Discount Drug Store brand for Sigma Healthcare, says taking out the top spot for Roy Morgan’s “Chemist / Pharmacy on the Month” for January has been a great way to start the year.

“Discount Drug Stores has always had a strong focus on service excellence and coming off the back of winning Roy Morgan’s Chemist/Pharmacy of the Year title in 2018, we’re extremely proud that the team remains top of their game in providing outstanding service to the community,” Mr Dunstan told AJP.

“It’s an incredible recognition for the pharmacy owners and their staff that we have instore who work hard to deliver great service across our health and retail offerings.

“We’re continuing to expand and develop our support and training programs in 2019, to ensure our customer retail experience remains of the highest standard.”

The awards are based on data from a monthly poll of over 9000 Australians.

My Chemist took out the annual prize in 2017, and Soul Pattinson Chemist in 2016.
