Roy Morgan has announced the winners of the 2017 Customer Satisfaction Awards, presenting 32 awards to businesses which “consistently outperformed their peers”

Among six first-time winners this year was My Chemist, which took out the top prize in the “Chemist/Pharmacy of the Year” category.

My Chemist/Chemist Warehouse Chief Operating Officer Mario Tascone told the AJP that the group’s owners and staff are “really stoked”.

“My Chemist is one of our original brands, and we’ve got a number of staff in that group who’ve been working there for over 20 years, so it’s a good win for those guys,” he said.

“They don’t usually get the limelight that Chemist Warehouse does, but they’re very good staff, right across that network of stores.”

He says it’s “business as usual” at the group, with more My Chemist and Chemist Warehouse stores planned for the near future.

During 2017, My Chemist fought a close battle for the top spot with Terry White, winning the monthly poll from January to May inclusive as well as in November.

Soul Pattinson was the Pharmacy of the Year for 2015 and 2016, while Guardian was named the winner in 2014.

The awards are based on data from a monthly poll of about 9000 Australians.

“Now in their seventh year, the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards continue to be the benchmark by which customer satisfaction is measured in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia,” says Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine, who presented the awards.

“Big or small, first-timer or veteran champion, the 31 businesses honoured in last night’s awards may come from diverse industries but they all share one crucial characteristic: their unrivalled dedication to ensuring their customers are satisfied, and their success as rated by their customers.
