My Chemist tops Roy Morgan rankings … again

The pharmacy group continues its winning streak in monthly customer satisfaction ratings, soon to hit one year at the top

My Chemist has topped the Roy Morgan customer satisfaction rankings for 10 months in a row in the Retail (Chemist/Pharmacy) category – placing first in every month since July 2016.

In September it shared top spot with Soul Pattinson (both at 91%).

Roy Morgan’s latest monthly rankings saw Terry White in second place, followed by Priceline Pharmacy, Chemist Warehouse and Chemmart Pharmacy.

April 2017 Customer Satisfaction Awards – Retail (Chemist/Pharmacy):

  1. My Chemist (90% – down from 91% in March)
  2. Terry White
  3. Priceline Pharmacy
  4. Chemist Warehouse
  5. Chemmart Pharmacy

Before My Chemist began its winning streak back last July, Soul Pattinson had dominated the rankings – sitting at first place in February, March, April, May and June of 2016.

Soul Pattinson slid into second place in July 2016, and then into third in August 2016.

After a short-lived comeback – sharing first place with My Chemist in September 2016 – Soul Pattinson then slid down to fourth place in October 2016, and into fifth in November 2016.

By February 2017 it found itself off the top five rankings list altogether.

Each monthly ranking is based on a sample of over 8000 Australians, or approximately 50,000 Australians annually – with the data used as the input into determining the winners of the annual Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards.

Soul Pattinson had clinched the title ‘Chemist/Pharmacy of the Year’ in the awards for both 2016 and 2015 – the first year that the market research company started collecting ratings for the pharmacy sector.

While it’s early days yet, if the current trend continues My Chemist has a real chance of scoring this year’s top gong.
